Pastors & Staff

Ralph Mann

Senior Pastor

Born and raised in Texas, I have almost 40 years of pastoral ministry experience. I am married to Verna, and we have five children, but only two are currently under our household – Rebekah and Bethany. We are also blessed with ten grandchildren. Verna holds a Master’s degree in English, and has taught both high school and college English. She currently is teaching English I Pre-AP and English III Dual Credit at Smithson Valley High School. My passion in ministry is Evangelism and Preaching. I hold a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Methodist University. My primary duties are preaching and directing the vision and focus of BMC. I have a desire for people to serve the Lord in wherever God is calling them. I currently serve on the Board of Ministry of the Mid-Texas Conference GMC. I spent 8 1/2 years in the Air Force as a Korean Linguist. I am proud to be an Eagle Scout, and was a chaplain at the 2010 Boy Scout National Jamboree. I enjoy camping, golf, riding motorcycles, and flying airplanes (I am a certified flight instructor). Even though I have an adventuresome spirit, I still enjoy a quiet day of soaking in God’s creation with a book under a tree, or a casual conversation with a friend.

Hannah Hedgpeth

Associate Pastor

I am excited to be one of the Associate Pastors here at BMC. I have a wonderful husband, Darrell, and three beautiful girls; Shelby, Emma and Avery. Like many families we are busy with school and activities but we keep God as the main focus in our family. Since becoming a member here in 2001, my family and I have been blessed by this church family and all the areas of
ministry to be involved in. I believe we are called to get out of our building and to be the hands and feet of Christ. BMC goes where God calls us – whether that is feeding children in our community, the homeless in San Antonio or loving on others in Peru – BMC is a great place to be and to serve!

Alex Clary

Youth Ministry Director

My name is Alex Clary, and I am excited to have the privilege to serve as the new Youth Ministry Director. My wife Miranda and I moved to Texas from Columbia, South Carolina, and have been in San Antonio for about two and a half years. We love Texas! Miranda and I love to cook, spend time with our dogs, and find a good show to watch. I am a massive sports fan, and I am always willing to talk football and basketball! Jesus has great things in store for our youth, and I am excited to explore it together as we Build, Grow, and Send for the Kingdom of God.

I feel blessed every single day thatI get to spend time doing ministry with the wonderful people of BMC.  My husband’s name is Fred and we have five wonderful children, eight grandchildren and and one great-grandchild. Living in the Texas Hill Country fulfills a lifelong dream. As my husband says, “The Hill Country is God’s gift to Texas”.  We enjoy long drives down the back roads to take in the tranquil scenery and visit the small town antique and “junk” stores. It is my pleasure to serve our Lord and Savior by serving the BMC congregation.  Please do not hesitate to come visit me or call me if there is anything I can do for you.

Don, my husband for over 40 years is anxiously awaiting retirement from the band and music business. We have 2 adult children, Clint & Emily, and 4 wonderful grandchildren. We moved to Canyon Lake in 2004 and absolutely love it here. I love traveling and quality time with my family.

Lynn Price

Congregational Care Pastor

Hello! I'm Lynn Price.  I am a native Texan born in Sweetwater, raised in the Corpus Christi area as a young child, and attended high school in San Antonio at MacArthur High School.  At age 16 while on a youth trip with St. Matthew's Methodist Church, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Life in Christ continued to grow as I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at McMurry University. Later in life by the grace of God, I attained a master's degree in Gifted Education from Hardin-Simmons University. It was my joy and calling to teach for over 30 years. Upon retirement from Frisco Independent School District, I returned to the San Antonio area where I became a nanny for my twin grandsons and became a member of Bulverde Methodist Church.Getting to volunteer and serve in our church has been such a blessing! Having worked with the children's ministry on an interim basis led to involvement as a ministry assistant on staff. In June 2023 the position as Lay Pastor of Senior Care became the new direction for service to our Lord at BMC. This position is truly more than just for "seniors" and is an opportunity for outreach and caring interaction with all ages. Interacting with phone calls, emails, texting, cards, and personal visits is a big focus of congregational care. Love and encouragement flow through ministry involvement with Community Cafe, hospitality, church decoration, women's ministries, greeter coordination, facilitation of Grief Share, and other ministries of our church. Glory to God for all He is doing in my life and our congregation.

Director of Music and Visual Arts

My family and I are thankful for the opportunity to serve here in the hill country.   I have been serving in ministry for over 10 years and thank God every day for the opportunity to engage and connect with people.  I’m excited to serve with you all and look forward to seeing all that God has for BMC as we continue on this journey.  I love good food, the occasional good movie, playing board games, but most of all I love family time with all 6 of my kids.

joy egerue

Family and Children’s Ministry Director

I am delighted to be given the opportunity to grow with you as one body in Christ through teachings of the Bible, praying with parents, children, volunteers, teachers, and coworkers in love and righteousness.   I was born and raised in a Christian home of which my late parents were both Pastors and founders of Greater Love of Christ Worldwide Mission, Lagos, Nigeria. I grew up participating in children’s choir and attending most church activities, to include children’s ministry and evangelism. I have also worked as a Bible study teacher and was later ordained a Pastor in my late father’s church.  I graduated with a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. And I have a master's degree in theology from Houston Baptist University. I am married to Henry Egerue and we are both blessed with two adorable daughters, Victoria and Destiny.   I am joyfully partnering with BMC and the Bulverde community to best support your child in learning, understanding the Bible and holding firm to it as they grow.  On behalf of the BMC family, I welcome you to visit and be a part of the family and children’s ministry here.  I’d love to meet with you!  Proverb 22:6 says, “Direct your children unto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” I believe in maintaining a happy positive learning environment with your child and I welcome any questions, ideas, and concerns about your child.
